July at the Beach House..

We had a rather cool July this year..Cool weathers meant cooler sea temprature but still we enjoyed it everyday...But August came with very harsh hot weather..To tell you the truth I started to miss the wonderful weathers of Mediterranean autumn when the weather and the sea are at their best..Below you will find some photos from the month of July at the beach house..For more photos and information please visit my other blog Sahildeki Ev..

Old Windmills of Datça

You cant miss the old windmills of Datca on the right side of the road while you are driving to Datca..They are lovely symbols of a bygone era..While the one in the front is serving as a restaurant, the one at the back of it restored and redesigned as a house and it is a private property..

Datça'ya doğru giderken yolun sağ tarafında Datça'nın eski değirmenlerini kaçırmanız imkansızdır..Artık mazide kalmış bir dönemi bugüne taşıyan bu harika yapılardan önde olanı restaurant olarak hizmet verirken, hemen bir arkasındaki yakınlarda yeniden restore edildi ve şu anda ev olarak kullanılıyor ve özel mülk..

However it is possible to inspect this magnificent building in the Zeynep Restaurant..While one of the resident cats Lokum ( Turkish Delight)  gives you a warm welcome, dont forget  to treat youself with a big and delicious breakfast / brunch after your tour of the mill..Most of the things served in the breakfast are home made including butter, cheese, jams..

Ancak bu harika yapıyı Zeynep restaurant'da gezebilir ve inceleyebilirsiniz..Değirmenin kadrolu kedilerinden Lokum sizi merakla süzerken, kısa bir değirmen turu sonrası kendinizi devasa bir kahvaltı/ brunch'la ödüllendirmeyi unutmayın derim...Masaya gelen tereyağ, çeşitli peynirler ve reçellerin hepsi ev yapımı...

Summer at the Beach House...

Some of you may already know that Sahildeki Ev ( Beach House) is the name of my the other blog where I am sharing some craft projects and lots of photos from our house..So summer started at our house with lots of summery projects..I especially worked hard on our bedroom and I think it turned out pretty good..So please visit my blog here to get a taste of summer...

Saturday is the market day in Datça...We love to go every week for the weekly grocery shopping..It's a place you could find almost anything...Here are some photos from last Saturday...

June in Datca...

The last quite and peaceful days in Datca before the summer attack of the vacationers..Weather is warm enough to enjoy long swims during the day and cool enough to have sound sleeps during the nights..In short, lovely lovely days....

Yazlıkçıların ve tatilcilerin yıllık çıkartması başlamadan önce Datça'da son sakin ve huzurlu günler.. Gündüzler denizde yüzecek kadar sıcak, geceler rahat bir uyku çekecek kadar serin..Kısacası  buranın harika günleri...
