On a fine Sunday

We are getting ready to move to our beach house for the summer. There are tons of stuff on my to do list. I cant believe that I neglected to do so many things due to my trip to central Asia.

As it happens every summer, there are millions of things ( OK that can be a bit exaggeration) that we have to carry from here to there: Books, Cds, DVDs,PCs, various electronic equipments, neglected projects, Hera's food and toys, etc.... I am constantly packing stuff.

So a wonderful barbeque party we have been invited yesterday was such a fine way to have some rest and saying good bye to İstanbul and friends until fall.

I still have many photos to share from my trip. Coming soon.

  1. Oh, to have a summer house at the beach! Lucky you. We'll hear about your life there, I expect. Good luck with the preparations: a necessary evil of moving house, I know ALL about that!

  8. I hope everything gets packed up and you get on your way quickly and with no worries about forgotten battery chargers. I scramble when I'm packing for a week, I couldn't imagine grabbing everything for a whole summmer!

  12. Oh my dear friend, please forgive me for taking so long to get here. I am settling back into the blogging routine and getting out and about more.

But don't you think it's perfect that I'm here as you are getting ready to return to the beach house?

I see you were busy traveling as I made the move to Georgia and the photos of the Silk Road are stunning! How I would love to have been there for a bit of indulgent shopping.

Now I can relax and wait for photos of the beautiful beach, more of your travel photos and those spent with your friends in those fabulous outdoor eateries. Life is good, indeed!

  13. Yes, good that the friends pulled you out of the packing frenzy for a respite. I hate packing.

Thanks for contributing your experience to my post just now. I answered you and Mary Ann the same.

  14. Packing is such a chore before any trip, but, you're moving for a season! Good luck with that.

Love the second photo with the city in the background.

Looks like a fun afternoon with friends.
