Rabat - Morocco

Well, I think its time to show you some photos from our recent trip to Morocco. Our first stop was at Rabat. Although our plane landed to Casablanca, we skipped it. Casablanca is a very beautiful city but we thought that there are not very many attractions that interest us.

We stayed in the old part of the town and our hotel was very close to famous Oudaia Kasbah which is a fortress dated back as old as 12th century. The houses in the kasbah were built in the late 17th to early 18th century. Their white & blue washed walls amazing but at that time we werent aware that we will see a much more amazing blue town in the coming days..

Kaldığımız otel ünlü Udaya Kasbah'a oldukça yakındı.

It is possible to see a great view of the city's water front from the platform of the former signal station..

Rabat'ın kıyı kesimini ise eski işaret kulesinin bulunduğu platform'dan görebilmek mümkün.

Later we walked into the medina...We spent hours by sightseeing, window shopping and photographing. When we finally leave the old part of the town, it's almost dark..

Daha sonra medina'nın içlerine doğru yürüdük. Etrafı seyrederken, dükkanlara bakınırken, fotoğraf çekerken saatler geçmişti ve şehrin eski kısmından ayrıldığımızda hava kararmıştı..

During our entire trip we choosed to stay in the old parts of the towns in small hotels converted from beautiful old Morrocon houses..I just loved their court yards full of flowers, lanterns and in some cases with a small pool. We stayed at lovely Dar Zouhour....

  1. I've been wanting to go to Morocco for some time, so it was great to go vicariously through your blog. And I love that your blog is bilingual! I can read it in Turkish and then check my comprehension- a fun way to study!

  4. Rabat looks very different to Marrakesh. Less people? A little more spacious?
