Datca's Saturday Market..

Saturday is the market day in Datça...We love to go every week for the weekly grocery shopping..It's a place you could find almost anything...Here are some photos from last Saturday...

June in Datca...

The last quite and peaceful days in Datca before the summer attack of the vacationers..Weather is warm enough to enjoy long swims during the day and cool enough to have sound sleeps during the nights..In short, lovely lovely days....

Yazlıkçıların ve tatilcilerin yıllık çıkartması başlamadan önce Datça'da son sakin ve huzurlu günler.. Gündüzler denizde yüzecek kadar sıcak, geceler rahat bir uyku çekecek kadar serin..Kısacası  buranın harika günleri...

Haunted Bay of Datca

Datca peninsula has so many lovely bays you could enjoy the turquoise waters of Aegean or Mediterranean depending on which side of the peninsula you are on. Here is a lovely bay on the Mediterranean side called Perili ( haunted), because of the name of the hotel resort on the bay. So there is actually no scary story to tell..

The Perili Bay resort has a pleasant view from outside with its Ottoman architecture..However when you enter the grounds its a mix of everything..Roman statues side by side with Persian lions, in front of Ottoman style buildings..Still the magnificent view of the bay is taking your breath away..

Datça, yarımadanın hangi tarafında olduğunuza bağlı olarak, Ege ve Akdeniz'in turkuaz suları ile renklenmiş pek çok koya sahip. İşte Akdeniz tarafında bulunan Perili koy. İsmini koyda bulunan turistik tesisten alıyor, anlayacağınız anlatılacak korku hikayeleri yok..

Koyun en güzel yerine konumlandırılmış Perili Bay Resort'un dışarıdan bakılınca görülen Osmanlı mimarisi tarzındaki yapıları çok hoş bir görüntü veriyor. Ancak içerisi biraz aha karışık. Roam dönemi heykelleri, Pers aslanları ve Osmanlı yapıları iç içe, ancak yine de koy'un muhteşem görüntüsü her daim nefesinizi kesiyor..

Wild Poppy Field...

I keep going to this field which is about 2 minutes away by car day after day for about a week to capture these poppies in their best or as my eyes see them..But unfortunately I am not able to convey you their colors and beauties..Flowers are usually so easy to photograph but poppies are not..I experienced the same problem last year although one of my photos was a finalist at a photo contest..They are really a challange for me...So these are the best I could get from the spring of 2013...

Arabayla eve yaklaşık 2 dakika uzaklıkta olan bu tarlaya son bir haftadır, gelincikleri en güzel ya da benim gözümün gördüğü haliyle yakalamak için günün muhtelif saatlerinde gidip gidip duruyorum. Ancak ne yazık ki renklerini ve güzelliklerini size iletebilmede hala çok yetersizim..Çiçek fotoğrafları genelde kolay çekilir ama gelincikler hiç öyle değil..Geçen yıl çektiğim fotoğraflardan biri bir yarışmada finale kalmış olsa da aynı sorunu yine yaşamıştım..Beni gerçekten çok zorluyorlar..Bunlarda 2013 baharından yakalayabildiğim en iyiler... 

Under the Rainbow...

April started with summer like weather but when everything went upside down with a heavy rain and storm yesterday, we returned back to reality...When the rage of the weather was over at the evening hours we received a magnificent gift from mother nature...

Nisan ayı yaz benzeri havalarla başladıktan sonra dün sıkı bir yağmur ve fırtına ile ayaklarımız yeniden yere bastı.. Ancak akşam saatlerinde havanın hızı kesilip her yer sessizleştiğinde, doğa ana bize muhteşem bir hediye verdi...

After half an hour later the darkness started to descend and we started a quiet and peaceful night...How cant I love my life here?? I feel so lucky...

Yarım saat sonra karanlık yavaş yavaş çökmeye başladı ve sessiz ve huzurlu bir geceye başladık..Buradaki hayatımı nasıl sevmem?? Kendimi çok şanslı hissediyorum...
