Silence of September

There are still some boats at the main harbour of Datca. However the small docks at the bays are totally empty except couple local fish boats. Larger ones maybe preferring safer places because of the unexpected winds of the season.

I took this photo from the tip of the Datca peninsula where the antic city of Knidos located. Crowded with boats and people just couple weeks ago but now enjoying the silence of the September.

    The weather still looks spectacular...this is probably the best time to visit. I would love to walk down that pier, jump in a boat and go for an adventure....one day.....

    I'm sure it is good for local business when the tourists come, but I'm sure it is equally nice when they leave - and as you say - things become more silent and peaceful.

    I know what you mean with silence there.
    I had silent two hours today at the pool - I was the only customer. It was luxury time, to swim and tan...
