I think one of my biggest contribution to our marriage and happiness is to create this office place for us. This place is the extension of our kitchen, normally designed for a dinner table.
As you know I am retired and, my husband is semi retired so when we are at home we love to spend time on internet. We have our blogs, games and hubby has his own on line bridge partners. When I realize that we spent so much time seperate from each other, I designed this space. Now we are together all the time. We talk, watch TV, help each other and usually have the breakfast here.

Our desk is usually crowded with papers, various gadgets, used plates and cups but for today I tried to tidy it up a bit.
So welcome to our kitchen office....

Oh, your decoration is great!. It reflects your personality.
ReplyDeleteLovely office.
Happy Sunday :)
xx
Every effort helps to bring couples together:)) Well done!
ReplyDeleteA lovely idea and a nice execution of it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your happy time together!
A wonderful idea. Being on the internet a lot is something that often pulls couples apart - but you have designed a fabulous space that allows you each your own pursuits while being together. Loving and smart!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a co-incidence. I was just working on a photograph which I'm about to get printed and framed on one of our walls! Just then I get your comment and see so many nice paintings framed on your kitchen office walls :-)

Fabulous... a great idea for keeping seperate interests but not being apart.
ReplyDeleteI love the rug on the floor too and glad you like the award. Just a bit of a thankyou for our little B&W community. Have a great Sunday.
What a fantastic idea! It is strange how computers have become the focal points of our social lives. I have a 6 year old who races home from school to play on the computer with his next door neighbor. The phone rings about 10 times in an hour while they decide where 'on line' they will meet next. We do have a one hour screen-time limit per day so that he gets out and about as well. Peace.
ReplyDeletea great idea...b u t, we tried it - my husband can't concentrate if we're sitting like that, we tried!
ReplyDeletebut we're happy even if we're not together all the time! :)
Have a nice Sunday!
A kitchen office is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteyour observation and lifestyle is perfectly described as my husband and I find we need to have our home offices close together otherwise we would not be sharing information, talking, doing computer projects together. it is a good thing to work close to each other in home offices and yours looks perfect. also, i noticed a painting on the top right of your wall that looks like it came from Peru possible? I have one in my office that is similar. I am glad you liked the slot canyon on my site today. I too find the slot canyons truly magical and mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteI love how you created a space for the two of you to be together...I will keep this in mind when I find the man I desire to spend time with!
ReplyDeletemuch love!
I very much like the way you've set up your office, with that wide work area and the plants & framed art.
ReplyDeleteI feel you are right, a wonderful gift to your marriage. To share a space one spends a lot of time in and to enjoy this togetherness is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea to set up so that you can spend time together while still doing your own things. And it's a separate space. Right now, we have two laptops on the living room table...and they just get in they way. :)
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet idea....it looks beautiful !!
ReplyDeleteVery smart. Very smart, indeed.
ReplyDeletei like the natural light coming in from your windows..i'd hope for the window seat, as daydreaming and watching street life are two other favorites of mine besides the internet:)
ReplyDeleteIs such a beautiful space!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the distribution of the frames in the last picture :)
It's a beautiful life!
ReplyDeleteImportant to have a nice space to call your own and to share... and have FUN on the internet! ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea and a perfect spot for you to be together and enjoy TV, the interenet, good conversation and food..sounds just so lovely!!

Great idea to be together rather than locked off in separate rooms. So much more you can share throughout the day, while each doing your own thing. Smart.
ReplyDeleteGood idea!!!
