Yesterday was another beautiful day. We took our daily walk at the sea side. Amazingly we came across we some brave souls who decided to enjoy the sun shine and sea together.
I call them brave because it's already October and its not the ideal time of the Marmara Sea to swim. It should be rather cold. They also got another ribbon of bravery from me as they have the courage to swim in the contaminated waters of Marmara. Being an inland sea, Marmara is the life blood of İstanbul, however years of neglect left its once turquoise waters pretty dirty, especially in the shores of İstanbul...jpg)
As for us, we already adopted ourselves to autumn and like to watch the falling leaves.... Have a great weekend and enjoy the season whichever you are living in..

ReplyDeleteI long for the beach, and the sound of the surf. I'm not much of a winter fan, so when fall starts to peak around the corner, I get uptight. Your photos take me back to my season of choice. Thank you for sharing!

We just got our first cold spell too in Northern California! I'm ready for fall and all it's wonderful things like baking,movies,walks and sweaters. I will still miss summer though and will start wishing it here again. (I need to move to a tropical island!)For now I'm happy with the change.:)Enjoy your weekend!

The tourists must be from Canada - we would probably find the water in the Marmara warm. Don't know about the pollution though. Is that your puppy?

ReplyDeleteRainy here today, which is good after the drought. But I sat on the dock tonight, imagining the full moon I could not see due to clouds.
Not many boats on the lake today. Just a few ardent fisherman, undaunted by the rain.
I had no idea Istanbul had that much water! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSunbathing is something you can still do in California in October, although the Pacific is rather cold and you need a wetsuit. Is the water cold as well as dirty?
