İstanbul Floods..

For today I was planning to post some very nice İstanbul photos, however this morning we woke up with the news of the floods in the European side of the city. We ( Asian side) had some heavy rain during the night but morning was peaceful and sunny and we did not have any rain since then..

I was in front of the TV set whole day, watching some of the roads I passed hundreds of times and couldnt believe my eyes. This photo is from an area very close to İstanbul Ataturk Airport and according to latest news, the death toll reached to 30. Hope the worst is over.

As for our household, we are dealing with another natural disaster. We have a new puppy at home with no training at all..I am sleepless, I am tired but more on that later..

  2. Not good. I hardly hear or watch news..., hopefully things are going back to normal soon. It seems to me that there are a lot of "disasters" going on recently, from flooding to the notorious wild fires in California.

  8. Floods are so fast, deadly and leave so much dirt and debris. But the horror of being caught in one . . . I just can't imagine. It shakes one up a little when it happens so close to home.

Puppies require so much patience, but it is so worth it. Hope you get some sleep.

  13. Nature does what it does with no regard for us. Still, I wish we could share just a little of our drought with you and you could share some water with us.
